The threes went to Castle Doom in the Reserve Cup on 13th October with a few new recruits in the line-up and not surprisingly it took them time to settle.
However, a howitzer short corner shot from Martin Daw just before half-time and then a second from Dickie Uren on the break whistle settled the Reds.
Falkirk used all their aggression to try and stay in the tie and to the threes' credit thy held their composure in the face of some typical antics and settled the tie 15 minutes from time when Daw concerted a penalty flick after a foot on the line.
As the hosts lost their way completely further goals from Alan Aitken, Daw, to complete his hat-trick and Brent Walker completed a good day for Carnegie.
